On WP Clipart I found dolphin2.png



Under the Terms of Use on WP Clipart, this image "can be used and edited for whatever purpose you wish".

STEP 1:
Rotate and shape the image

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 2:
Change the contrast to achieve a silhouette effect
(add in some touching up to remove stray white pixles)

STEP 3:
Reshape the images by drawing lines to accentuate the dolphin's features



This includes lengthening the nose, dorsal fin and side flipper, shaping the tail and body for better vector conversion

STEP 4:
Fill in the reshaping to complete the silhouette

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 5:
Copy the better section of the tail (the bottom, right hand section)
and rotate it to add to the other side (top, left hand section)
This gives the tail a better, more symetrical shape

STEP 6:
Run the image through the vector conversion program
The green circles show sections that are unsatisfactory

STEP 7:
Small changes are made to each unsatisfactory section (addition or subtraction of pixels)
in the hope that the program will produce a better output

STEP 8:
Run the new image through the vector conversion program
Again, the green circles show sections that are unsatisfactory

STEP 9:
More small changes are made to each unsatisfactory section (addition or subtraction of pixels)
in the hope that the program will again produce a better output

STEP 10:
Run the new image through the vector conversion program
This image is satisfactory
